The Tower Duplex

The most romantic place!!

In building our home, the most important thing was to have water. Since we did not have electricity for years, we had to make sure we had enough height in our water tower to use gravity as our ally for water pressure. The first thing we did was build a tall water tower close to the main house. It ended up being very big, tall and so sturdy that a couple of years later we decided to design a guest house inside it, so adventurous Grandma Carol would come to stay for longer periods. Someday we may call it "Carola's Tower" in her honor.

"'The Tower Duplex” has a tree house feel to it, with an amazing view of the ocean and the volcanoes on the horizon of the mainland. It is a beautiful, split-level apartment, located on the second and third floors of the tower itself.

Private and romantic for a couple, but with enough room for a three-person family, it has a queen-sized bed upstairs and a double super comfortable futon in the living room. The duplex sleeps up to three people and includes a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and everything you need to feel comfortable and at home. 

You will feel very connected to the elements of our beautiful planet. ​

Although it rains a lot on Chiloe, that doesn't mean that there is always a fresh supply of water because summers sometimes bring long periods without rain. However, we are very fortunate to have delicious water from a fresh spring and from rainwater that we capture in the forest behind "The Tower "and have in constant supply .

With conscious consumption, we never run out of precious, fresh, tasty water.​​​​
